Bands show delay risk against each hub's usual level and are not a cancellation count. Each hub's band compares DelayGuard's model on tomorrow's sample departures with the same samples at that hub's baseline, including forecast weather when a lookup succeeds. The cancellation figure is the historical BTS 2024–2025 rate for that airport and month. The delay forecast is shown as a band.
For one departure, use the flight delay prediction page. The band on this page is not a score for a single flight.

Frequently asked questions
Are flights going to be cancelled tomorrow?
This page shows how each major US hub's delay risk for the next calendar day in US Eastern time compares with that hub's usual level, and the historical cancellation rate for the same calendar month from BTS 2024–2025. That rate is the past figure for the airport and month.
What are expected flight delays tomorrow?
Each hub is compared with its own baseline from the same model and the same sample departures. The band is Lower than usual, Typical, Higher than usual, or Much higher than usual. That band is the delay-risk forecast for the hub. A per-flight check is on the flight delay prediction page.
How is this forecast made?
The date is tomorrow in US Eastern time. DelayGuard scores sample departures from 21 US hubs with its delay model in one batch, and scores the same samples again with baseline inputs. Forecast weather comes from the OpenWeatherMap forecast used for future flights, one lookup per hub. If that lookup fails, the hub keeps its baseline and weather is not named as the top factor. Live same-day FAA status is left out. If the model batch is unavailable, this page does not show rule-only bands. The cancellation figure is the historical BTS 2024–2025 rate for that airport and month.
